Safety Rules
All persons are required to have hearing protection
and eye protection
when on the ranges.
If you do not have hearing protection or impact-resistant eyewear,
foam earplugs and inexpensive shooting glasses are
available in the clubhouse.
Oakdale Gun Club is dedicated to safety above all else.
This means we have ZERO tolerance for horseplay
or unsafe gun handling. Further, we reserve the right to:
- Refuse admission to persons who are behaving recklessly
or appear to be intoxicated.
- Require shooters to immediately case and remove from the firing
line any firearm which appears to be malfunctioning or unsafe.
- Eject from the grounds any person who is behaving in a reckless
or unsafe manner. The Range Safety Officer on duty is the sole authority
in this matter.
Since our founding in 1964 Oakdale Gun Club has had an unparalleled safety record,
and with your help, we will keep it that way.
