Oakdale Gun Club is proud to once again host the

Women on Target® Instructional Shooting Clinic
on May 23rd, from 11am to 4pm

The Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics provide a safe, friendly & fun

introduction to recreational shooting, for women only, featuring one-on-one training

conducted by NRA Certified Instructors.  All participants will have the opportunity to

shoot rifles, shotguns and handguns, as well as view, handle & ask questions about an

extensive array of firearms and related accessories.  Our primary goal is to teach you how

to handle and shoot a variety of firearms safely, in a laid-back, fun environment.

All instructors assume that participants have never handled or shot a firearm prior

to their attendance at this event, and new shooters are encouraged to sign up

and participate.  For many who come to our clinics, this may be the first time they've ever seen

a firearm outside of television and movies.  If this is you, or if you have some experience

already with one or more types of firearms, we look forward to seeing you!

The cost for the event is $40, and pre-registration is required.  Space is limited and all seats will

be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Participants must be 18 years of age or older

(12 - 17 years of age if accompanied by a parent).

Your $40 includes all of the following:

  • All guns, ammunition & targets
  • Eye and ear protection
  • One-on-one instruction with experienced, NRA Certified instructors
  • Snacks, refreshments & a barbecue lunch!

All you need to bring is yourself and a desire to have fun while trying something new!

Last year's event was a hit!  Click here for an article about it - as well as some pictures - on the NRA's blog.
